How to Delete All Photos on iPhone

Backup Your Photos Before Deleting
Before you delete all the photos on your iPhone, it’s important to make sure that you have a backup of your photos to prevent any data loss. You can backup your photos in two ways: using iCloud or iTunes.
To backup your photos using iCloud, go to Settings > iCloud > Photos and toggle on iCloud Photos. This will automatically upload all your photos to iCloud and keep them in sync across all your devices. To check if your photos are backed up, go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID. From there, you can access your photos and download them to your computer.
To backup your photos using iTunes, connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes. Select your iPhone from the device menu and click on the “Photos” tab. Check the box next to “Sync Photos” and choose a folder to sync from. Click “Apply” to start syncing your photos.
Once you have backed up your photos, you can safely delete all the photos from your iPhone without worrying about losing them.
Delete All Photos at Once Using the Photos App
If you have a lot of photos on your iPhone and want to delete them all at once, you can do so using the Photos app. Follow these steps:
- Open the Photos app on your iPhone.
- Tap “Select” in the top right corner.
- Tap “All” to select all photos in your library. If you only want to delete certain photos, tap on each photo to select it individually.
- Tap the trash can icon in the bottom right corner.
- Confirm that you want to delete the photos by tapping “Delete X Photos” (X represents the number of photos you have selected).
It may take some time to delete all the photos, depending on how many you have. Once the process is complete, all your photos will be deleted from your iPhone. If you have backed up your photos to iCloud or iTunes, they will still be available there.
Manually Select and Delete Multiple Photos
If you want to selectively delete photos from your iPhone, you can manually select and delete multiple photos at once. Follow these steps:
- Open the Photos app on your iPhone.
- Tap on the album where the photos you want to delete are located.
- Tap “Select” in the top right corner.
- Tap on each photo to select them individually.
- Once you have selected all the photos you want to delete, tap the trash can icon in the bottom right corner.
- Confirm that you want to delete the photos by tapping “Delete X Photos” (X represents the number of photos you have selected).
You can use this method to delete a small number of photos quickly and easily. If you have a large number of photos to delete, you may want to consider using the “Delete All Photos at Once Using the Photos App” method instead.
Permanently Delete Photos from Recently Deleted Folder
When you delete photos from your iPhone, they are not permanently deleted right away. Instead, they are moved to the “Recently Deleted” folder where they will stay for 30 days. If you want to permanently delete photos from your iPhone, you will need to delete them from the “Recently Deleted” folder as well. Follow these steps:
- Open the Photos app on your iPhone.
- Tap on the “Albums” tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down and tap on “Recently Deleted.”
- Tap “Select” in the top right corner.
- Tap on each photo to select them individually.
- Once you have selected all the photos you want to permanently delete, tap “Delete All” in the bottom left corner.
- Confirm that you want to delete the photos by tapping “Delete X Photos” (X represents the number of photos you have selected).
This will permanently delete the photos from your iPhone and they will not be recoverable. If you want to keep the photos, make sure to back them up before deleting them from the “Recently Deleted” folder.
